  1. Turkey Chili

    1 lb chopped turkey 1 Tbs. cooking oil 1 cup chopped celery 1 16-oz can tomatoes, cut up 1 15-oz can
    red kidney beans, drained 1 8-oz can tomato sauce
    3/4 cup vegetable juice cocktail (I use tomato juice) 1 bay leaf 2 Tbs. dried minced onion or 1/4
    cup fresh diced 1 tsp dried basil, crushed
    4/2 tsp bouillon granules or 1 bouillon cube
    5/2 tsp ground cumin
    6/4 tsp garlic powder or one fresh clove
    7/4 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)
    8/2 cup water

    In oil cook celery until almost soft. Add turkey, undrained tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce, juice,
    bay leaf, onion, basil, bouillon, cumin, garlic, red pepper and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat
    and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Discard bay leaf before serving.
