Onion Pie
1 9-inch unbaked Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crust
Preheat Oven to 400 Degrees F.
4 to 6 slices thick smoked bacon, chopped 2 cups sweet type onions, peeled, chopped 2 eggs, beaten 1
cup sour cream 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 to 1 tsp salt
2/8 to 1/4 tsp black pepper
Swiss Cheese for sprinkling, if desired
Chop bacon. Saute bacon just until clear. Drain most of the fat from the pan. Chop onions and add to
bacon and saute until clear. Do not brown them. Set aside and cool. Beat eggs and combine with sour
cream (beat together) in a medium-sized bowl. Sprinkle flour over top and beat it in. Stir in salt
and pepper. [censored] bottom of pie shell several times with a fork. Spread onions and bacon over the
dough in the pie pan. Pour the sour cream mixture over the top. Bake in a 400-degree oven for 15
minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees, sprinkle with grated Swiss cheese if desired. Bake another 15
minutes or until pie is golden brown. Serve hot.
