If you don't add the weight of the bike to your weight when entering that value - what is the end
result? Are watts under reported or over reported? My sense is that time and speed will remain the
same but watts will be under reported if you just report/enter your body weight.

of the power readout. I think the only difference would be in the relationship between speed and
power. E.g. it would require 250 watts to go 24mph without the bike weight but 275watts with.Phil Holman

know your weight to calculate your calorie/joule use. I'm not sure but: When you are heavier you're
expected to be stronger hence your power is greater, so you use less calories at a certain wattage
than a lighter person.Har
