  1. Yet Another Possible Fixed Gear Bike Sighting

In the video for Clint Black's "Spend My Time", I momentarily saw a person on a MTB doing what
appeared to be a trackstand, apparently on level land, and it seemed that he pedaled backwards to
    move the bike backwards.

On the other hand, I'm currently halfway through "Tracks of Glory," a (so far) mediocre flick about
Major Taylor, the great African-American track racing world champ of the early 1900s.

I was disappointed in one scene. The trackies are walking their bikes off the track, and the cranks
are not turning. What's with that??

Sheesh...that's a minor annoyance I never even thought of with fixies. I whack my leg on the pedal
when walking a normal bike; I bet I'd trip and fall constantly, and my leg would be all bruised up.

BTW, the second half of the movie was much better, I thought.

While we're on BTWs here, I saw the video again, and the guy was riding a normal MTB; he had his
front wheel turned sideways and one foot on each side of it to roll back and forth a few inches for
    his trackstand.

Which leads me to this troll: For those riding fixed for the "better connection with the road", why
not push the tire with your feet, or just push the ground with your feet? Your 2,000 word report is
    due by tomorrow's class...
