Hmm. Amount of Ti in specs, amount of Ti in a bike frame. Daylight robbery is what you just

Anyway, talking of frames, I had a total of 4 hours on a BikeE, and about 20 minutes on an EasyRacer
EZ1 during the holidays - first ever time on a bent. It as a bit cold and drizzling, but throughly
enjoyable experience, and has got me back to re-designing and planing the building of this homemade
effort I have here. For some reason I'd always written off LWB recumbents as a home project, but

Points that come to mind [nothing new to you] were :
1. Slower on hills, it's all in the 'spin'...that's all we have. But you also had this feeling that,
although slower, you could keep this going all day!!
2. Seemed to be shifting a lot more than on a DF. Not sure why this was, probably due to slowing a
bit on the inclines and going into lower gears quicker
3. On the flat and down hills [of which I had no real steep ones] was really very nice. Just
the vision and the ability to 'really take in' what surrounded you, and so much more time to
take it in.
4. Getting back on the DF [quite a nice old 1972 27" Swinn road bike(this is no gas pipe clunker
btw)] seemed so strange, and I found myself kind of gasping for breath all of a sudden, as if
everything was all somehow much more difficult, so much more laboured and tiring, it really
was strange.

I was also spoilt - all this took place on a fantastic bike trail in the States. No experience of
traffic....that suited me this time.

Before I die, I'm definitely going to have a recumbent.

Need to try a few more now. Gradually getting the hang of the different makes, styles etc..
