  1. I notice a lot of people who own the Bachetta model own either the AERO or The Giro, with a fair
amount claiming owership of the Strada. However, I don't see a whole lot of postings regarding the
Corsa Model Recumbent. As I come closer and closer to finally making my purchase, I find myself
drawn to the Corsa itself for various reasons to many to mention at this time without wasting
bandwidth. My question is, if there really is a question coming soon, are there any Corsa Owners
present, and what made you go with the Corsa rather than shelling out the additional grand to go
AERO? What, if any, mods did you perform to make it a better bent? And, if you had to do it again,
would you go Corso, or would you wait to go AERO. Most of my riding is long distances, I do a
century a week on my mountain bike in and around Houston. I also visit Northern Michigan every year
and like taking at least one of my bikes, usually the Giant, with me to enjoy the outdoors the way it
should be enjoyed. The addition of the bent will only mean that I take two bikes north with me and
use the appropriate one at the time...

Thanks for any input from the group...

Funny you mention that. I've noticed a few review where all but the Corsa are mentioned. It's as if
    it's a non-entity. The [censored] middle-child if you will.

  3. I think the main reason you don't hear much about the Corsa is that it came out later than the
Strada. My LBS had a Strada for I think a full year before he had a Corsa. I saw the first on last
August and liked it so much I bought it. The first thing i noticed is that it fit my short legs
,[5'7"] better than the strada which was too high. The difference may be the M-5 seat being thinner
than the padded Rans type seat The Corsa came with carbon fiber seat,FSA carbon cranks,Ultegra
    Derailluers,cassette,sram chain,light weight aero style wheels,Terracycle tilt, Rocket shifters.All
in all pretty good components. The list price was I think $2595. but the LBS discounted it down to
about $2195. making it a very good value. I was a little worried about the narrow euro style seat
because a riding buddy of mine says the M-5 is only for skinny riders and I'm not skinny ,but not to
worry I love the seat and had no problems . My first ride on it was 65 miles and I had no recumbent
butt problems. The bike is fast and handles very well. It's easy to mount and dismount because of
the steering tilt. I think you'll hear more about the Corsa when more are in bike shops. Ben fox

  4. jd, I've got 5100 miles on my Corsa and love it. Fastest, most comfortable, speed stable bike I've
ever owned. I prefer Corsa to Strada due to m5 seat (fiberglass), excellent 650c wheels and good
selection of high performance road tires, higher components, and carbon fork. I prefer Corsa to Aero
for price and ease of adjustability of seat and handlebar riser, although Corsa is 4 pounds heavier
    than Aero. Al Kubeluis

    Ben,

5'7" is a rather LONG leg length! 😉

The website [1] says the Corsa seat is a "M5 Fiberglass" while the Aero seat is a "M5 Carbon".

    Hi JD

I may be a little biased ;<😉 but I agree with Al's assesment of the Corsa! It is the most
overlooked bike in our line. It is a little heavier but most of the speed of the Aero if the
rider positions are the same. As Al mentioned, more adjustable steering setup, and easier for
the height challenged (like me) to get their feet flat on the ground at stops.

All of our bikes- except the Corsa- have been reviewed by the top bent publications
(Recumbent Cyclist news, Bentrideronline, Tandem and Recumbent magazine)...that may have
    something to do with it.

Buy one, you'll like it! Thanks for your interest in our bikes.

This may help with your question. Go to this Yahoo Group, sign up, do a search for Corsa and post
your message. You'll find a bunch of very helpful and candid Bacchetta owners here:

  8. Just another comment about the Corsa as compared to the popularlity of the Strada and Aero.....keep
in mind that while I lot of riders have Strada's in many instances (mine included) they have been
upgraded to Corsa-like levels by the addition of the M5 seats and lighter and faster wheels than the
stock Strada. So you really have to look at the Corsa and Strada as almost one model. The Corsa is a
convenient way to incorporate many of the upgrades that Strada owners end up adding to their bikes.
In any configuration these are great bikes and every time I ride mine I appreciate it even more.

  9. Thanks tom, I can always count on you to keep me straight. Funny I thought I
was 5'7" tall, but I guess you know better than I. As far as the M-5 seat,I
assumed it was the carbon version, my mistake, maybe an excuse to buy a
    carbon Swanson seat?
