Six months ago I came back to running after a long absence. My current mileage is 8-10 miles per day, 4-5 times per week. Average per mile time is 7:45 - 8:10. I've committed to running the Marine Corps Marathon as my first marathon and the race day is 31 Oct 04. I've been advised that I should use Hal Higdon's Intermediate II 18-week program to train for the race. Any thoughts on using Higdon's programs?
Any advice is welcome.
Cheers,
Rick

Hal's a [censored]. Your mileage is fine, but cut back to 10mpm, and add a long (18 to 20) in once a week.
