  1. Folks - Assuming a rice dish into which I've upended some cooked meat. Some soy sauce would improve
the tast as would Korean Cabbage Kimchi.

Would you care to recommend some other relishes that would go well with the meat/rice? - Mike

Thin slivers of Szechuan pickled radish, pickled mooli/daikon, pickled turnips, pickled limes (the
Indian sort), Vietnamese tuong ot toi mixed with a little soy to dip the meat into, pickled mustard
greens (at least that's what I think it is, in those plastic bags), cucumbers or red radish dressed
with a little soy sauce, vinegar and sesame oil.....

Chutney is a gateway drug. It leads to harder stuff like saffron rices, biryanis, and meat curries.

When you start to mainline Chicken Tikka Masala, there's no other choice but an intervention.

Indian lime pickle, i.e. tinyurl.com22jcd , or you could easily find a recipe to make
    it yourself.

What kind of meat? It could make a difference.

I like picante things, so a sambal (oelek or badjak) comes to mind or some fish sauce spiked with
cilantro, chiles, lime juice and brown sugar, maybe.

Also, I've had a wonderful Yucatecan salsa made with green habaneros, cabbage and brine that
everyone should munch at least once.
