  1. After the drones that follow you on your awesome local hill descents and provide you with digital video shot with an unecessary wide Lens, (Le lens) now you can go -in- a drone! 😄

Because you trust Google Drive for that no?

Is the Battery lithium? 😄 Does it go Boom? 😄

  2. This is a bad azz video. Drone following some boarders on the road we cycle known as GMR (Glendora Mtn Road) '
I thought about getting a drone to follow us on rides but that is a lot of money to spend with the bad rap drones are getting nowadays.

  3. Oh my God what is going on in the world? We are going into a scifi stage. It flies autonomously. It's not legal in the US, yet they said. I'm going to put that on my Christmas list for next year. I'm going to have to step it up.
Drone, that was a word that I heard used in the 90's. They were referring to drone slaves working and slaving for someone else. The drones. Lol Now, its a flying object that does all kinds of things.

The bad rap can be worked over if you spend more lolol.

Thats one I've seen which follows you (like that "It follows" movie, but with a drone).

You wear a thingy and the drone seeks it. It might occasionally attract a Hellfire Missile too but... :p

    The wide angle lens!!! 😄

Really wonder how much that test pilot is getting paid to put his life in the hands of one of those things...only the Chinese.

That thing isn't even a drone anyway, it looks like a more sophisticated, and comfy, microlight. Still won't be getting me in one though.

  6. Maybe for active competitions and strictly while riding through a game park. I doubt whether it can be for fun. There might be more and more drones in the future. I nowadays see guys flying there drones all over the space.

  7. Drones?

I came here expecting a thread about some the 'people' that post on this forum.

  8. That's no drone. I think it is the future of motor vehicles. As soon as they figure out away to make air traffic it will become legal. Smh

Aah... The pride of the Luftwaffe! 😄 Herr Campyboben! 😄

What do you think of her? 😄 Care to place an order? 🙂

And before you ask, yes it can be fitted with rockets! 😄 Just wait to see the military version! Totally NATO, totally. :p

Well if we know anything about most wholy Chinese run programs the pilot is a convict of some sort and the craft has been throughout tested for safety! 😄

    Hop in! 😄

Well the Russians did do a similar thing with POW's when they fitted an impromptu rear-firing machine gun on their IL-2 Sturmoviks, so I wouldn't put that sort of thing past China 😉 "You have been committed of so and so crime, but you will be cleared if you test this..."

And that scene I just love 😄

  12. For $300,000 I can buy a good used UH-58 and some spare parts.

Lolol I heard of that too. 😄

I used to play a simulator called IL-2 Sturmovik throwing torpedos at boats. 😄

Well, if there is something I learned making paper airplanes, is that they dont get more "awesome" the "bigger" they get. 😄 They usually just fold lololol. 😄

I was obsessed with that sim in it's heyday! 😄

I've coined paper airplanes much like early flight...take a look at some videos of man testing out some weird and not so wonderful flying machines and you'll see what I mean 😄

I still play it. 😄 I've modded it with HSFX... I wanted to play it with Blue World but I could not make it work...

Did you play the more arcade-y new ones? I tried Cliffs of Dover once but I kinda still like the HSFX old one more. 😄

Ah yes, crappy planes... Where to start? 😄

How about some "X" projects from Ww2... 😄

Now this was totally safe... 😄

In IL-2 its programmed to be utterly crappy! 😄 Like 70% chance of Fire every time you increase the throttle too fast. 😄

    Behold! 😄 the Horten "Ho!" 229!!! 😄

    Aint that a Ho, 😄

Man, that Lily thing seems awesome! Shame it's only 20 minutes recording time, although I do imagine they could improve that. Imagine going on a long bike ride and having a camera following you around, recording all the surroundings, all the nature you can't enjoy yourself. Is this a prototype or is it already available to purchase?

I've still got it installed on my system with some sort of mod pack installed as well as a vanilla version that I go back to now and again but I think I've been spoiled lately by more modern sims. I've also got Cliffs of Dover installed but like the older one I only go to it occasionally. They are still amazing games thought even after all these years. The new one is pretty nice and it uses the Rise of Flight engine which is good in some ways but it's made the Mission Editor a lot less user friendly 🙁

Ahh the Horton, or the Batwing! 😄 I think the chance of the engines catching fire if you adjusted the throttle too quick was based on how the engines acted for real. Did you ever try the Lerch? That thing was all kinds of fun and landing it was...interesting 😄

Have you seen that picture of the Horton taking off? It's a distant shot of it just lifting off of the runway. It's got a sort of creepiness about it.

I have played with the Lercher death trap. 😄

Its just plain garbage but you can cut B-29's in pieces with the cannon and aiming isnt bad either. I dont remember if it has that useless of-centre scope like the BF-109's (which are one of my favorite ones. 😄 Its Funny how the engine gradually loses Power and you crash land every couple Flights 😄 )

Its also got these weird wire-controlled rockets which I never learned how to operate. 😄

I have played with the Horten a few times... It flies and lands quite well actually when its not catching Fire. 😄

But nothing Compares with the all around trashyness of the IL-2... 😄

I think you can already buy it! Dont know if you can mod it or hack it or whatever and increase Flight time...

You can probably just get extra batteries though.

  20. I thought about buying one of those little drones just for indoor fun ($50). But the flight time is 5 minutes. I hate toys like that, spend 2 hours charging and 5 minutes playing!

You can buy extra batteries to carry around but you never know when they will die. I'd worry about losing the drone having one follow me if they battery dies mid flight.

Heck the remote on my go pro recorders kill the camera time by 25%.
