  1. i know ive got one, riding on the drops when the hill starts to hurt!!! i know its weak and something to be ashamed of lol. why do i do this? have i not developed my forearm muscles enough? have you got any bad habits?

    MINE

1.)not eating enough good stuff and too much bad stuff
    2.)the drop thing
    3.)going to bed too late
4.)waking up too late (ignoring the alarm clock)
5.)too lazy to write in my training diary sometimes
6.)magpies make me go quicker eventually leaving a big hole in my energy supplies...i hate the first sound "kaaargh" and then "snap" go the wings and then you feel there claws shaking youre helmet!!!:o

  2. I don't see anything wrong with riding on the drops other than it decreases your ability to breath.

    My Bad Habits-
Stopping to have a [censored] (hold it in! )
Farting into the face of the rider behind me:p
Workng too hard and wasting energy in races
Not replacing tyres before they are too cut up
    Not cleaning my bike
    Not shaving my legs, never!
    Being a smart [censored]
    And basically Being too good😄
And talking complete [censored] on the internet🙄

  3. -not cleaning my bike nearly often enough
    -procrastination...
-I'll get to this one in a minute...
-not checking my PSI every ride and cursing it while I am out.
-spending too much on bikes and part
-my passionate love affair with beer... :o

  4. My big mouth can get me in trouble.

Once a cop pulled me over and asked if I had been drinking and I'm like I'm on my way to work.

She asked again and I'm like "I'm on my way to work"

Finily I'm like, "NO, I'm on my way to work." Aparently "no" was the magic word and she was like why didn't you say that before and I'm like, "I believe in the 2nd and 5th ammendment" Then she is like reaching for her gun just a tad and taking a step back she asks "Do you have a gun" I was tempted to say "I'm on my way to work" but I said "no" and she relaxed. If I had said "I'm on my way to work" she would have probably called for back up and searched me.

While here is a joke about a lawer with a big mouth like mine.

"A Lawyer runs a stop sign and gets pulled over by a Sheriffs Deputy. He thinks that he is smarter than the Deputy because he is sure that he has a better education. He decides to prove this to himself and have some fun at the deputy's expense...........
Deputy says, "License and registration, please."
    Lawyer says, "What for?"
Deputy says, "You didn't come to a complete stop at the stop sign."
Lawyer says, "I slowed down, and no one was coming."
Deputy says, "You still didn't come to a complete stop. License and registration, please."
    Lawyer says, "What's the difference?"
Deputy says, "The difference is, you have to come to a complete stop, that's the law. License and registration, please!"
Lawyer says, "If you can show me the legal difference between slow down and stop, I'll give you my license and registration and you give me the ticket, if not you let me go and no ticket."
Deputy says, "Exit your vehicle, sir."
At this point, the Deputy takes out his nightstick and starts beating the ever-loving [censored] out of the Lawyer and says:
"DO YOU WANT ME TO STOP OR JUST SLOW DOWN?"

Bad Habits is also a great Thin Lizzy song. I think it is on Thunder and Lightning.

All of the above plus nachos.

  6. Maybe its a newbie thing, but I haven't learned how to pace myself yet. Every time I try to tell myself I am just 'out for the scenery' I always end up cranking steadyily away. I enjoy that feeling but sometimes I burn out too quickly at the end and it wrecks my overall time and avg. speed.🙁

Something I will have to learn how to do as I get more experienced.

  7. Speeding
Infatuation with mashed potatoes - is the south american in me?
Abhorrent use of slow cadences to rest 70ish - instead of gearing down and spinning
Procastinating on buying shoes and clipless pedals - Toe clip fetish? 150ish is hard to shell out.

  8. Must be the magpies. Habits or just things you do for the time being. Don't sweat the small stuff.

  9. My all time bad habit relating to cycling was not adjusting the height of the saddle correctly which resulted in having to almost learn to ride again later on down the line when I got a new bike.

  10. My worst is probably the fact that I keep pushing myself past the point where it's doing me any good..there's a certain amount of pain that just tells you that you're challenging yourself, but then there's that whole other level when you know you should stop but you're just too stubborn 🙁

I also tend to overestimate my abilities sometimes, especially mountain biking, and I've found myself on some trails before that I had no business being on with the level of experience that I had at the time. I think it's because as a complete novice I joined up with a very experienced group, and I constantly over-reached trying to keep up with them.

  11. I don't think I've got too many. My main one is just not cleaning my bike enough. I get lazy about that and it doesn't get done often enough.

Oh god I'm very guilty of putting things off like that. My car and my bike I try to keep spotless but cleaning around the flat I am quite guilty of putting off until it gets too late in the day to do.

I've also been dabbling in sports betting lately and while I'm not going overboard with it, nor do I intend to, I am always making terrible bets it seems.

  13. My bad habit when it comes to cycling is I often don't remember to pace myself. Sometimes I get so into it, and I'm just starting out, that I end up feeling it the next day.
My bad habits in my daily life are not scedualing any time to rest and not eating enough.

  14. I like looking for 10 year old threads that I can revive by making an inane comment. 😄

Our resident necrophile has beaten you to it on this one 😉

  16. I almost always do not have the time and interest to clean my bike.
I stay late up at night in front of the pc for too long
I forget to take in enough water for the day
    I eat junk food

  17. Hello everyone! My name is Jorge Solis. I think we all have bad habits. The key is to balance them with the good habits we have to create a control environment in which we can peacefully live. For instance, one of the bad habits I have is that I spend way too much time on social media sites. Sometimes I spend up to two hours doing nothing but checking my social media accounts!

Buy Quality Real And fake Passports,Driver’s License,ID Cards,Visas.

Hello, Getting a fake and a real (genuine) passport, ID or driving
license or any other document is simple. we can make you both real and
    fake documents.
However, the real documents are more expensive than the fake because
it takes time, skill and contacts to get it done. Note that, the fake
is going to be 100% unique and in very good quality. The difference is
based on the registration of the numbers. The real Document will be
registered with the country's database so you can use it to travel to
any country of your choice or in the country, mean while the fake will
not be registered but can be used as well.
