I have seen many young children riding on these super cute bikes called strider's. I think it is a fantastic idea to get the children to learn balance. But on the down side, I as a grandparent knows that buying this kind of bike will also break your piggy bank, because you will have to buy a lot of tennis shoes. They wear out soooo fast when the little children ride these kind of bikes with no pedals. Great idea to learn how to ride.
