I'm not Italian, nor do I play one on TV. But my favourite garlic toast calls for roasting whole
heads of garlic in the oven. Toast the bread slices, brushed lightly with olive oil, on the stove
top or in the oven on a griddle. Remove them before they get too browned.

Squeeze some of the garlic paste from the roasted cloves on top of the slices of bread. If you want
to add cheese, I'd suggest a nice Peccorino Romano, thinly sliced. Then you might want to pop the
slices under the broiler for a minute brushed with a little more olive oil. Garnish with some fresh
    basil leaves. MMMM!

Why on earth would you apologize for thinking one of Sheldon's posts is funny? You must think I'm
one of those people who will burst into tears if he says something about me I don't like. Hell,
we've been tag-teaming each other for years, with quite a bit of jocularity.

Sheldon, I didn't get a card from you this year and can't remember if I sent you one. If I didn't,
well, it's just this big fat grey cat named Persia with her paw over her "Christ-mouse" and it says
"Happy Holidays". So there, to you from us. <G>

And that's all I have to say about that.

No offense, but be prepared that a lot of people won't bother reading on to see what the heck you're
talking about. Including me. You seem like a nice person, I just won't know what you're posting
    about in general.

Top posters usually don't know what they're talking about themselves.

  11. True that.
