Budget TT

If you are not already doing it, spend some time on Ebay getting a feel for what items you need are selling for. (You can find some pretty good deals on just about anything you will need here). 😉

Well, I would take a look at your current road bike's geometry. If it has a relatively short top tube right now then perhaps you can just get some aerobars to get a feel for it. I would suggest a synatce model or profile airstryke, they both can be purchased in your size or are adjustable.
Then next, it would depend on your budget. I would recommend one of those selle san marco TT seat where they're very heavily padded at the nose for comfort. The wheels would represent a huge investment but then you may need a new TT frame if your current road bike can not set you up for TT.
Most true road bikes can be difficult to set you up comfortably for TT since they tend to run about a size or so smaller than road bikes.
But should you opt for a new TT frame, look at the Cervelos. They have some entry level TT frame at reasonabley priced. Some of these models are the soloist, One or the Dual. And I believe they come in a road/TT geometry with switchable seat position for both road/TT.

Get them and get them set up rite and that is a good start, Then think about head fairings and super fast wheels when the times start coming down! 😄
