Here's the thing with component groups. There are Shimano people and there are SRAM people. It's a very individual preference. Some people love the Duotap shifting on SRAM. Some people hate it. Some people think that SRAM feels and sounds clunky when it shifts. Some people like it because it feels "solid" to them. Try before you buy. SRAM used to be infamous for poor front shifting, but the newer 11 speed Force and Red groups have supposedly changed that.
