The wheel didn't come with a hub guard (if that's the right term for the rubber thing in the upper-right).
My old hub guard is for a flat-sided hub, not a round-sided hub. It leaves a gap between itself and the hub (yellow).
1. Is the gap okay?
2. Are there home-made solutions?
3. Would the hub guard in the link fit my Shimano FH-2200 VIA hub?

If that hole in the inner plastic piece is meant for the axle nuts, it looks to be a larger rubber piece. My guard is just a rubber piece that fits right over the nuts.
