  1. Hi all, I have begun taking a new (to me) medication and need to keep my weight under control. The
medication causes a disturbed carb metabolism and could promote diabetes..and I may be taking it for
quite a while (it's for chronic connective tissue disease) I chose WW because it seems to be the
most sensible and I have seen co-workers experience great success with it. I really LOVE the fact
that anything can be an acceptable food, as long as the points are counted..and WW emphasizes
    balance and variety.

I am hoping to lose about 12 pounds, and maintain the loss....I am not greatly overweight but the
medication (prednisone) may hinder my progress. Anyone here have experience with taking Prednisone?
    TIA, Teresa

  2. haven't taken it but it was offered to my father and he refused it. One
thing is that even if you lose little or not at all, when/if you come off of
it you will haven been eating healthy and this will set up a great
environment for your eventual losses. If I were qualified to give you
advice I would say, go for it and follow everything but if you just don't
gain, with this med you are winning, I wish you the best of luck, please
    keep us posted, Lee

  4. Welcome Teresa. My mother and aunt both have taken it and had weight gain. Don't think they tried to
watch their weight though. I think you're wise to and to do it with WW. Good luck.

  5. Have not had experience except with eye drops, but my nephew was on it and he gained tremedously.
    Wish you the best.
