Ditto. Glorious sun and clear air round here despite the forecast. Managed to plan a route where I
was blown up all the hills and had to pedal all the downhills into the wind. Just settled down with
a mince pie and hot chocolate with whipped cream on top as my reward

I was a bit warm, actually. Had to stop and remove my Lusso Chest Protector :-)

That wind is very hard work, though - except I was lucky enough to have it right behind me down a
couple of steep hills. Wahaeeeeeeyy!

Aye, nipped out for an hour on me mtb to check it out before going on a longer ride tomorrow in S.
Wales. It was quite demoralising riding an mtb into the wind on a bit of bland tarmac but it made me

Not that windy an hour ago, Lusso max repel tights and Breathe top just about right.

I suppose I'll have to to look up what a Chest Protector is.

I've been at my Mum's for the past week. Went for a ride with my stepfather yesterday and had to
borrow a 'chest protector' from their magazine rack.

Down here at the bottom end of the world (Tasmania, Australia) - 35C, howling northerly. Drank 4 full bottles on a 75k, 2.5 hour ride. Got home turned the cold water tap on the shower full bore and stood there for 10 minutes. Four hours later and I'm bushed.

Isn't cycling the best?😄

Don't worry Frank the forecast for the rest of the week is mid 20's as you like. Just I'm a bit stuffed from today's ride to go out tomorrow, but I probably will. Days in the 30's in Tasmania, happen maybe less than 10 times per summer.

Hope you guys get through the winter in one piece, it's the joy of cycling, being out there come what may. However, I have bought an indoor trainer for next winter (call me a wimp).:eek:

Tell me about it. The highest temperatures coincided with the CTC Birthday Rides. It was too hot to
go into our tent between 10:00 &
17:00, and when we were out I was towing my daughter over the gently undulating Dorset roads.
