  1. I see that platform pedals come in 1/2" and 9/16" sizes. I don't know which size to get for my bike. I'm guessing that mountain bikes are a standard size, but I don't know which size it is. I have a '97 Jamis Dakar with Carumba Sidewinder cranks. Can anyone help? Thanks very much.

I've been wrong pretty much every chance I've had today, but I'm sure mtb cranks are 9/16. The 1/2" are (mostly) bmx, although I have no clue what road pedals are. I just got the crank bros. mallet cranks and have not had the pleasure of riding them yet. This weekend though...(but now that I've said that the powder up in the hills is calling me)! Have fun.
