I baked six chicken breasts and they came out quite tough. I am pretty sure it was the chicken; normally I do not overcook and get nice, tender meat. But, for whatever reason, these breasts just started out tough and ended up tough.
What can I do to salvage it? Cut it up into small pieces and make a chicken salad? Can anything be done to save it? Thanks.

Chicken salad might work esp. if you use a vinaigrette or something else that will permeate and soften the chicken-- as opposed to mayo which mostly just sit on it.
When this happens to me, I cut it up and add it to vegetable or minestrone soup, being sure to simmer it for a while.
