[FONT= Verdana]I have a KHS Flite 250 and I need a seatpost with an o.d. of 26mm. It looks like I can get a Thomson elite from BTI, but it looks like that's the only place left that still has that size. There is Kalloy, but I'm looking for something better. Aside from Thomson, which I will probably get, are there any other quality brands that are relatively light? Is there such a thing as an adapter option to convert it to a standard size? The reason I want to get one now is so i'll have one on hand if and when the seatpost needs replacing, rather than waiting and have even fewer options. What's strange is this is not that old of a bike. Well, actually looking at the KHS website, it looks like a 2008 model[/FONT]

+1. There are many good seatposts out there but the Thomson Elite is among the best.
On the same bike I have used a Deda elementi, a Thomson elite, and a Ritchey single bolt WCS. All were selected for their relatively light weight. The deda's finish scratched off quickly but otherwise held solid and was easy to adjust. It was the hardest on the eyes. The thomson was likewise easy to adjust and also held solid. Superb finish. The WCS is an aesthetic masterpiece. A little fiddly to get the initial assembly but otherwise also relatively easy to adjust. It hasn't slipped yet [IMG]/img/vbsmilies/smilies/biggrin.gif[/IMG]
I know the Thomson comes in a 26.0 not sure of the others.
As far as i know the only adaptors that are available are inner sleeves that add to the diameter. You seem to have the opposite problem.

+1 to what dhk2 and danfoz said. 26mm seat posts are not seen much these days, especially on new bikes.
