To a certain degree, I understand the frustration. The homebuilders are not necessarily cheap skates. They have a craft (God knows I would love to be able to design my own ride).

But his particular reference to homebuilding was a cheapened version of it, imho. The No-Weld recumbent. But they can be very nice as I have seen with some who have done it.

I think perhaps what was said as tongue and cheek has been taken wrong.
