I once did a winter tour, ( I was actually moving), of 6 days with a race bike, a trailer, a one speed Schwinn cruiser set-up with a low gear and studded tires for the snow and the mountains. Perhaps my biggest mistake was weighing my gear about 150 miles into the trip, the result? 230 pounds
