2004 is the year I lose the weight I gained back after a divorce. I have = also had a 4th baby since
that. I have no idea what my weight is but I = know that each photo that I see of myself makes me a

One thing though....there is a weird feeling of comfort in my overweight = body...sort of a

I used to think I was comfortable at 209 lbs., but once I lost 30 or so = lbs I realized that I was
more comfortable at a lesser weight. I felt = better about myself and my image. It's nice to wear
smaller clothes. = My shoes even fit better! I can wear things I have had put away for = years
because I couldn't do them up, or they just felt uncomfortable, = now they feel great.

I think the comfort that you feel at the weight you are now is a normal = feeling that most of us
experience. What you have to decide is, are you = comfortable, happy and healthy at the weight you
are now, or do you want = to be thinner, healthier and MORE comfortable. That's the way I looked =
at it when I first began WW. I haven't lost/gained anything to speak of = since May when DH fell
ill, but now that he's on the mend and the stress = in my life has lifted, I'm ready to begin again
and rid myself of the = last 20-30 lbs I'm carrying around. I find that my mind has to be in = the
right place and mine hasn't been for the last 6-7 months. I think = it is now...

I know how difficult the weight loss process can be, but if it's = something that you want bad
enough it can be accomplished. Use this = group when you need it. WW meetings may be helpful. I do
WW online, = but know that the meetings would probably be a better choice for me as = well. I
haven't gone to meetings because my schedule just doesn't allow = me the time to fit them in. If you
can go, I would suggest that you do = that.

Remember, this is a way of life (WOL), not just a diet. Once the weight = is gone, the eating habits
you have been following will need to be = followed for life, or the weight will come back. I know
several people = who have lost weight only to go back to their old eating habits and they = gain it
all back within a short period of time, then wonder why.

Best of luck to you Michelle. Post here if you feel the need, we'll all = be more than willing to

It sounds like you are ready to lose weight. The feeling of comfort being overweight is all false.
Think what it feels like running up a couple of flights of stairs, and think how much better it'll
be when you can get into the clothes you long to wear.

Take good before pictures now, and measure yourself in loads of places. Then when you have lost some
weight you'll be able to get inspiration from how far you've come.

This is a great group to learn how to lose weight. It's not quite as simple as it sounds and there's
a lot of successful people here willing to help.

    good luck

  6. Welcome, Michelle, to the best and most caring group in the world! yes I do relate to the
'protective fat layer'. As I 'm losing the weight I 'm discovering a new me, strong but at the same
time very vulnerable without my 'protection'. It 's a long process but every day I feel better and
more confident. It 's worth it, really! Good luck to you,
