Many years ago (decades ago!) I had a bad case of jock itch while hitchhiking through California. I
was bothered by severe itching for days, maybe weeks. Someone cut a slice of Aloe Vera and said,
"Here. Rub this on it."

It was virtually gone the next day.

Your friend might give that a try while he/she is looking for something better. Aloe Vera gel can be
found just about anywhere -- dollar stores, drug stores, grocery stores, etc.
