  1. Hi,

Maybe someone can give me some advice about my problem. I've been living in quite a warm climate in
France and I just spent a year in Canada where it gets particularly cold during the winter. It might
not be important but I thought I'd mention that.

Since mid-Spring I seem to be suffering from excessive sweating. For some reason, I've always had
excessive sweating under my armpits. I noticed this at the end of high school, where I would feel
sweat dripping down my arm, especially during exams. It's been a problem that has come and gone away
repeatedly. At least, I stopped noticing it for a while.

However, this year, I've noticed that my sweating has become usual: to start with, I noticed that
when I would go out with friends, I would sometimes sweat a lot under the armpits, even if the
weather was quite mild or even cold. When arriving back in France, the weather was considerably
warmer, and the temperature was around 100 degrees F. Whenever I would drive my car, I would break
out into a huge sweat and my tshirt would be soaked. The sweating would always start under the
armpits, then lower back, and then the lower torso, and on my stomach. I seemed to very sensitive
to the difference of temperature and even if it got just slightly hot, I would sweat a lot more
than I'm used to. But if the weather was cooler, I wouldn't sweat too much except for my armpits.
Since that was getting a nuisance, I decided to use some special antiperspirant, which was very
efficient and I was extremely pleased by the result as I would be able to go out without having to
    worry about that.

But having recently returned home, I've noticed that, although I no longer use the special anti-
perspirant I got in France (it's called Etaxil I think), I'm not sweating under my armpits but the
sweating on my lower back and stomach has become excessive, although I've always been prone to
sweating in those areas when it gets quite hot. I've heard of compensatory sweating where the brain
"redirects" the sweating. Since the antiperspirant probably has no effect any longer as I haven't
used it in ages, this might be what's happened. But despite that, I seem to be very prone to
sweating. Even if other people find the weather quite cool, I can feel very hot and start sweating
instantly, especially on my lower back. I do suffer a bit from anxiety and I haven't been sleeping
enough recently, so could it all be linked to anxiety? It seems that being in public places, makes
me feel hotter and the fear of sweating makes me even more worried so it's quite a vicious circle.
I'm in my twenties and quite fit. I recently had a blood test down which showed no thyroid
    disorders.

If anyone has any advice to post, I would appreciate it greatly

    J.R.
