Dismayed to read these threads, i get my RED GRUPPO set up by SRAM at sportives, really works, in the interim though, having issues with my FR when shifting down i have double click the lever, is this due to excessive cable tension?

What's an FR?
If your double click sends the chain in the opposite direction, then yes, the derailleur is hitting the limit screw with too much force. Back off either some cable tension or the limit screw.

Thanks, i assume you mean the large chain ring limit, ill give it a go , certainly makes sense
