What are people's opinions on Fuji bikes. They look pretty good and seem to fairly expensive. I don't see many out on the road, is the quality as good as Specialized, Felt, Cannondale, etc?

I own a Cannondale Synapse and CAAD 9. I just picked up a Fuji Roubaix off of CL and took it it out for it's maiden ride today. I was impressed on how the bike responded when I dropped the hammer. It was stable in the down hill sprints and excelerated well climbing. Just going by my ride today and the several hours I spent dismantling and reassembling the bike that Fuji is a good value for your money.

The Fuji Roubaix is a pretty nice value. Here are three things to think about if you're thinking about Fujis. First, the MSRPs are bogus, so don't use them to discern how much bike you're getting. Second, the sizing systems for different models varies. Some use actual seat tube length plus a XS-S-M-L-XL, etc., size designation. When sizing these bikes, use the letter size to compare the fit to other bikes. For example, a Fuji designated as 55cm-L will fit nuch like a 58 cm Trek. Third, Newest series has some pretty inappropriate downgrades that allow it to hit the low price point. The Trek 1.1 leads the way for inexpensive road bikes.
