  1. I have had to fit a new front deraileur, to my carrera virtuoso, but it will not shift right across
to the big chain ring at the front. It is a shimano fd 2300, what can i do ?

You probably just need to adjust the derailleur's STOPs so that the cage can swing through the appropriate range of motion for your bike's setup ...

    • There are two screws on the TOP of the extension which comes off of the clamp & which holds the arms of the parallelogram ...
    • Turn the outer screw by 1/4 turn counter-clockwise ... test ... repeat ...
    • At some point, the derailleur cage will move the chain too far AND you will have to adjust it by turning the screw clockwise ... test ... repeat UNTIL the chain is moved sufficienly without "throwing" it off the chainring.
