Hey some I'm going to be doing some Crit and road races this summer and i was wonder what is the general pace of a local race? I'm entering as a Junior since im only 17 and what shoud I expect from my own age group? I was guessing around 18-20 MPH for road races, and 20-25 mph for criteriums. Is this an accurate figure?

Show up and find out.
20mph seems a bit slow.
In any case, parts of races will be much faster.

The best way to find is to either give it a go or ask some local racers.

Every race is different, you're best to take the start line and have fun. If you're training/racing with guys who kick your butt, you will get fitter in no time at all.
