We all know that professional cyclists, unfortunately, have numerous injuries trough their carrer. Some of their injuries are fractures, which sometimes have to be solved by surgeon. So, they get titanium plates or screws or wires or all of it, etc.
I was wondering is there (in professional/elite road cycling) examples of cyclists who don't take out titanium plates and screws, but they ride and compete with it?
Or is it common that all of these thing have to be taken out from cyclists' bodies?
Hello everyone! Unusual question...
Thanks!
Some have the plates and screws removed, and some don't. Which one happens is dependent on the injury, the cyclist, the doctor, and what conclusions the two come to together. I've had plates and screws removed, and I have plates, pins, rods, and screws that will remain in place. There is no single answer to your question.
