What you can do is go to the Shimano website. bike.shimano.combike.shimano.comOpen ↗ Select assemblies like a front hub for example, expand out the component parts list and compare the component part numbers. If you find many parts numbers are the same you are probably paying for "Bling" on the higher line group. For example in the course of this reponse to your question Deore uses the same front hub axle as Deore XT.
