Greetings all,
I'm planning a short cycling tour of Northern Spain in late August, starting south of Biarritz, France and would love any advice on some cool roads to see. FYI, I'm an Aussie living in the US. My plan is to leave Itxassou, France, and ride north west to San Sebastian and probably on to Bilbao and then south towards Pamplona, before tackling a Pyreneean route back into France. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I suppose I'm especially curious about the routes through the Pyrenees......are there tunnels that bikes are not permitted in?. I have about 5 days to kill. Thanks to all.

One Pyreneean option seems to be to cross back into France up the Col D'ispeguy between Ordoki on the Spanish side (NA 2600) and St. Etienne-de-balgorry on the French side (D 949). Anyone have any experience with this route?
