I have decided to try and do some Century rides (signed up for 3 so far).
I currently have a 17 year old Raleigh Kalahari that I have been trying to maintain - but know it will not last. I was trying to find something for less than $750 as a target. Prefer performance hybrid style and not too narrow of a tire (1.5 inch) given the roads that I ride on for training on a daily basis. A local bike shop has Raleigh Cadent FT1 and Diamondback Insight2 both around $550. Have not been to all the local shops yet. Any thoughts or recommendations are appreciated as I continue my search.
