  1. Hi - I have a hybrid bike with wheel locks which require a tool/key to release, which I have now somehow lost. It's not a standard make - I inherited the bike from my brother who got it in France and I have no idea how to get a replacement or how else to get the wheel off. I have included a pick of the lock (the tool had metal teeth which fit into the holes). I'm stumped as to what to do short of getting it sawn off or something drastic like that. Does anyone have any other ideas?

  2. Sawing will only destroy it. Take it to a bike shop. They will most likely try a small pin spanner or, if that doesn't work, they can drill into the nut and use an "easy-out"

  3. Do you have a make or model of the bike? I would google them and see if a tool is available.

I would also suggest that you not do anything draconian that would destroy your current set up.

Just when you think you have seen it all along comes something new (old).
