Down 1.5lb to an all-time low of 215.5!!!!!!! (Actually it was lower earlier in the week so I know this program is working again). Yahoo!
In the NSV department--We were Christmas shopping at Kohl's the other night and ended up in the misses department looking for a sweater for my daughter. She found one that she liked in large. I said "what the heck" and tried an X-Large. It fit!! I know all clothes are sized differently but now I have a choice of XL and 1X. What a feeling that was.
Good luck to all this week. -- ~~Laura (LJ)~~ 246.5/215.5/150 246/5.216/210 NYNY started WW 4/21/03

Wow, congrats on the super loss this week Laura, as well as the wonderful NSV! Isn't it great to be able to pick clothing off a regular rack, and have so many alternatives to choose from? Keep up the great work.

I'm not much of a shopper either so this was really neat. It means a lot bigger choices of clothes as the stores around here don't have much in the 1X+ sizes that I like.

Thanks, Joyce. The problem is that I still gravite to the plus size department. When I can fit into XL pants will be the day that I can truely switch departments.

I wonder if that gravitation ever fully goes away. I find myself still looking at the plus size shops, then realizing that I definitely have no business being inside their doors. <G> In stores, I still wander through the departments. Even when shopping in the regular sized departments, I grab the xl's to try on - I am wearing a small or medium now. It's hard to break some of the habits and self-image (or lack of).

I don't know if it is an issue of the lack of self-image or not. I think that the brain takes its sweet time catching up with our bodies.
I was wearing a pair of size 22/24 slacks tonight. Most of my other pants are now size 1X. They were my only clean pair of slacks for work that I could find this morning so I really did not have much choice in the matter. My neighbor commented how baggy in the a** they looked. I thought they were only baggy in the legs but I could live with that. I had no idea that they were too big to wear anymore. I guess I won't be wearing this pair of slacks any more. <g>

I hate snug pants. I always feel like I am giving myself a wedgie <G> so I wear them loose to begin with. Now they are just tooooo baggy. arrgghh. 1X's are starting to be loose too. I'll have to try the XL or X if I can find them. I don't know what US number they equate too but I should probably start trying clothes on. I hate buying clothes knowing that I won't wear them for too long. I know a 20 will fit but I have not been "brave" enough to try the 18s yet. Maybe I should.

I've got two pairs of jeans that have sagging butts. Can't do much about it though as the waist fits perfectly. I've just lost more around my butt and thighs than my waist, so have to wait for the rest to catch up!
