Excellent opportunity to explore the forests of central Croatia is to take part in the 9th MTB Hillclimb to Mt Zavizan from 0 to 1594 m.
The race shall start from Senj at the seaside and finish at the mountain refuge Zavizan 1594 m high. Trek length is 36 km. Less prepared cyclists can start from the village Oltari 975 m high and ride 17 km only. This short trek runs mostly through the shade. Nearby airports are Rijeka, Pula, Zadar, Zagreb, Split, Trieste and Ljubljana.
