I am wondering how many people feel like I do. I used to watch the Tour de France obsessively but stopped watching towards the end of the "Reign of Lance." There is no TV coverage at all where I am from and the coverage on the Internet seems to only cover doping.
I still watch the Classics and the Tour of California but the big stage races just don't interest me anymore. -
For me, I would rather be bicycling than watching it, therefore, I never watch it. I used to sporadically follow the pros when I was competing, but that was way back when Eddy Merckx was competing. You know,back before pneumatic tires were invented and when hairnet helmets were legal in sanctioned races. There was no Internet and you pretty much had to read about it week late in either cycling publications or in the Paris Times at the library.
