campagnolo ultra torque bb cup replacement ?

No Idea,

I've had mine since 2007 and they've never needed replacement. On the other hand, I have seen someone else's bearing cups whose coating is flaking off too (no idea how old).

I regularly remove the cranks to inspect the internals and I clean and apply grease to the cups at this time (as well as checking that the bearings are smooth).

FWIW. The Ultra Torque BB cups merely hold the cartridge bearings and they should not experience any wear, per se ...

So, presuming the inside of the cups were liberally greased before the crank was installed, then the cups should not have pitted ...

But, if the UT cups are pitted, it can probably be considered to be only a cosmetic issue AND the only reason you would actually have needed to change the cups would have been because you wanted to update their external, cosmetic appearance (e.g., from "silver" to "black"😉..

I just changed mine out after 6,000 miles or so, & found some of the inside well worn down;

the aluminum coating was worn, & it looked to even be pitted.

How often should these be replaced???
I'm glad I did mine when I did-- but is there a recommended mileage for replacing them?

First generation cups, the silver ones, were a wee bit larger than second and third gen ones and the bearings did move a little more in these than the later versions. The goldish ones are better and greeenish ones better still but the worse that can happen is a bit of noise but newer cups are better than older cups.
