Hello,
I am looking into purchasing a hybrid bike for commuting/recreational purposes.
Two options. One is last year's Fuji Absolute 2.0 (Fuji 2009 Absolute 2.0 hybrid bike at The Touring Cyclist) for $650. The other is this year's Absolute 3.0 (Fuji Bikes - Absolute 3.0) for $500. Can you tell, based on the specs, if the year-old 2.0 is worth the extra $150?

The main upgrades on the 2.0 are carbon fiber fork blades, which will seriously improve comfort and handling, and Shimano Deore 9-speed shifting versus Altus 8-speed shifting. Anything that improves ride and handling on a Fuji Absolute is worth $150, in my book.
