Anyone Know If

No I have not heard of anything such as that program but I agree with you 100%, a great way to solve a few problems while enriching everyone's life involved. I've always thought of somehow getting the YMCA for inner city kids involved with bicycles, even getting a coach/trainer/anyone with cycling knowledge to help out and guide and oveersee them if it were to ever get that far and group rides, bikes being donated by those who can, possibly even tax exempt, a write off or however it may work out in the donor's favor.

On one of these days soon I'd like to see into that and be a part of it.

There are quite a few bike co-ops around the country that recycle bike bits either into art or by allowing people to come in and build bikes from parts.....and etc. In Tucson, we have BICAS.

Might be worthwhile to start a list up of bike co-ops. I know here in Everett, WA there is SHARINGWHEELS.ORG . Haven't googled it yet, but there might be a list already in existence...
