I haven't been able to check in for the last few days and now there are 734 messages to read. So I'm going to take my time reading them and not respond to all of them individually--I'll respond to some. I want to generalize though (although I hate doing that) and say--welcome to any new comers or returning people, congratulations to all who have lost weight, exercised well and/or stayed on target, and tell those who didn't do what they hoped for to hang in there it will come!!! I'm going to try to stay up from here on but can't guarantee anything for a while!!!
It can be done if you work at it. I was off line for quite a while and ended up with 14 thousand plus messages!!! I went back about a week and used that as my start point and worked forward from there. I go back when I have time and read the old ones and am I glad I did. I got several good articles and a whole bunch of inspiration from those old messages. I am about down to 43 hundred now and having these to read has been a g*d send as it has helped me to deal with stress, good luck, Lee Janice Kennish <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:R5iub.32675$Dw6.162669@attbi_s02...

Janice, you are so sweet to want to write to everyone. I'm get the same way, and since I'm the "official welcomer" I feel even worse that I haven't been able to check in everyday and keep up like I'd like to. I had 374 messages today when I checked so I thought I'd better start typing while I'm home. I AM doing laundry and listening to Christmas music at the same time so it's all good. 😉

LOL Janice, hey it's not my fault.. I'm addicted to Christmas and everything that goes along with it and a station here in Lincoln started playing Christmas music non-stop at 6pm last Wednesday already... 🙂
one of the reasons I never mark them read is that I use them for a motivate when I want to eat. I am now down to around 2500 but that is OK because I picked a point when I got back on line and I answer all of the current ones, I just read the older ones for my benefit. I like this because it does help me in a shaky time like right now, Lee hungry for no reason, so I guess I just want to eat because I don't feel well, Janice Kennish <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:4P5wb.86971$Dw6.408921@attbi_s02...

Christmas starts for me on December 1st. I look forward to that day all year...lol... I make cookies the day before and then we crank up the Christmas music and put up the tree and all the decorations. It makes for a great family day.

I'm hoping to do my tree this Saturday or Sunday but my youngest son is sick so I don't know if we will get too!!
I hope your son is feeling better soon and that you get to do your tree.
We'll be doing ours in the evening on the 1st. I have an appt that afternoon and then we can't collect our tree until after 4pm. I'll make the kids have a nap so that they can stay up later than usual. I'll decorate the rest of the house while the kids are sleeping. I can't wait...lol...
Oh, and to keep this on topic, we never break out the treats until we've started doing the tree, so getting it later in the day gives me less time to overdo it ;-)

Have fun decorating. It'll be next weekend before I get to do my tree now, my son's fine but my husband is sick--no way I can do it without him and trying to do it during the week will be impossible because we still have to rearrange our living room!! Oh well, I will still decorate the rest of the house!!!!

Thanks. I've got the living room done, except for the tree. We've had no end of dramas so far just trying to get it up, then we find that the lights no longer work. Hopefully it'll be somewhat done before midnight...lol... Oh well, at least the rest of the room looks pretty good.

Wow, you must have a lot. Mine takes me almost a full day. I don't have nearly as much as I'd like. I only have enough stuff to decorate one room. I'm slowly adding to it though. I buy in the boxing day sales when everything is half price.

I have 4 Rubbermaid Containers (the big ones) of Christmas stuff and I put it all in one room--I want to be able to see it all!!!! It's getting hard to find places for stuff though because I have so much. Usually I could do it in one day for decorating and 1 day for the tree but I started so late that I couldn't finish--I haven't gone back to it. 🙁
The family is doing better my son and husband made it through school/work yesterday and today but both were pretty tired by the end of the day. They can't seem to get rid of that nagging cough that stays behind. My oldest son and I still haven't gotten it although he does have the cough, I'm knocking on wood that he doesn't get any worse and I don't get it!!!

I have enough stuff that I'm running out of places in the living room, but I do have a rather small living room. I want enough to decorate the entire house ;-)

I like a full tree too--I found one when I was about 8 or 9 that I just loved (back when we had real trees at mom and dad's) and I called it a Freddy Tree--there are only a few out there that are real Freddy Tree's and I'm always disappointed at not being able to find one--my fake one is close to a Freddy Tree!! My husband likes a lot of lights so he does that and it's not too hard to get them on because we use so many!!!
Have fun making the gingerbread house--I've never made one before--always wondered if I would enjoy doing it!!!
