hello everyone, i have the opportunity to buy these pedals for 20 bucks on my local craigslist and im wondering if anyone can give me info about them. i ride a 80s raleigh super record singlespeed, my main questions are are they good for long distance and what kind of shoes would i need to buy that clip into these pedals. sorry if these questions are stupid but im new to the sport and i just ride for fitness/recreation not getting into racing. thanks in advance!

I have no information regarding the pedals other than these assumptions:
- they are an old design
- replacement parts may not be available
- new cleats may not be available
- looks like mountain bike 2-bolt SPD style
- they are an old design

u can prob get new clipless pedals for $40-60, I think it's worth it to get from your local bike shop and have them install them.
