2. Is it possible for Cavendish to win the green jersey on Sunday?
1. Probably. Even if Schleck tried something funny he would most likely be pulled back. He's not a TT specialist or sprinter so it would be very difficult for him to gain any time at all in a late breakaway. If he were to try an early breakaway, he would most likely be pulled back by Astana.
2. Cavendish can still win green but it will be hard, especially if Thor or Petacchi win any of the intermediate sprints. However, if things are as they stand by the finish, Cav will be behind by 16 points. If he gets 1st (very likely) and Petacchi finishes at least as far back as 8th (not so likely), he can win green. If Cav gets 2nd, Petacchi will have to finish as far back as 13th, and so on.
