hi you teckno junkies out there im wondering if anyone could give me any advice ive been riding a raleigh record sprint for 30 years but im over due for a replacement im definately looking at a road bike with a budget of about £600 to£700 im looking at a trek 1.2🙂or a giant defy 3 are these bikes comparable and do they have carbon forks any advice gratefully recieved

Yes, both have carbon forks. I have a Defy 3 and I have been happy with it.

thanks is the defy a 2010model or older im looking for something for pleasure riding in the countryside with friends or solo Do you find the seat comfortable as i do get a little sore in that area ...🙄

My Defy 3 is a 2009 model. Yes, I ride many paved country backroads on mine. I would not want to spend much time on gravel roads on it. Seat comfort depends a lot on personal preference, but I'm a big guy and I've been comfortable on the stock seat.

That's an interesting price range for a road bike...Cannondale has some good models in that range. I particularly found the Cannondale SIX Carbon - 6 quite a good pick!
