It happens to everyone now and then. I have only done it once (but now that I said that will probably have a failure to unclip incident on my next ride!!). Last week, I got something stuck in my cleat and almost couldn't unclip. It is a weird feeling. If your FTU happened because you dropped your chain, as you were coming to a stop, you were probably just thinking about too many things at once - pedaling to get your chain back on, and stopping :-)
