  1. Hi folks,

Thanks for all the welcomes back, and the advice and so forth - I knew I'd be ok coming back here ๐Ÿ™‚

I put on another .4lb this week - for whatever reason - and I have come to a decision.

I have been eating too few points for quite a while now, in the hope that that would work. Normal
weekly losing points would be 126 - I've been on
    116. I've also been excercising a lot - and earning about 36 points a week but only using 15 of
them. Not only is that unsustainable, and not good for you in the long term, but it's not
working. I've also noticed myself being kinda mentally dopey this week - not quite with it -
and more tired than usual, a sure sign that something ain't right I reckon.

So, I might as well start eating more - because hey - it may well work - my body may just be in
starvation mode and way under-fueled. And even if it doesn't work - I'd rather eat food and gain
weight than not eat food and gain weight - it seems fairer somehow! *grin* In the meantime, my body
is changing shape in a fairly pleasing way, courtesy of the new excercise regime, and that's as
important as what the scales say, if not more so.

So, this week I'll be going back up to 126 points a week, and using more of my excercise points too.
Hopefully I'll also be doing this in a dietarily sound fashion - not just eating more cake .....
well, maybe just a little bit more cake *grin*

Fingers crossed it works hey? ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. It should work krys - my nice new leader keeps telling me that I will only lose weight if I eat all
my points each day, as if you don't, your body stores too much fat and stuff from what you are
eating, rather than shedding it... but I don't quite follow this myself...

Er - can someone who understands this and can explain it better help me out here?!

Big decision. Eating more to lose weight is counter-intuitive and scary. Hope it works for you.
I'm especially glad that the exercise is working. It's nice after all the graft when it starts
    to pay off.

    Good luck

  10. That will be the best decision you have made, you are eating way too little, your body is in
starvation mode. According the US guidelines for points, you should never eat less that 20 points a
day for a body weight of less that 150 lbs. If you are exercising at 36 points and not even feeding
yourself the minimum points, you are messing up your metabolism. Even at the amount of point you
are saying you are going to eat, you are still too low. If I were you I would aim for a minimum of
140 points for the week and maybe use 1/2 of your activity points for a total of 158 for the week
    or 22 per day.
