for some time now I was searching for a cheap, lightweight, easy to use and a perfect fit "helmet mounted LED flashlight".
While searching I found this and that, browsed through pictures and forums but could not quite get to what I was searching for. In the end I decided to make such a helmet flashlight mount by myself using an LED (or is it an LED) flashlight I bought, Velcro, stitching needle and an elastic band. During the production process I took some pictures and posted them on the Internet together with the full recipe of "how it is done" for generations to come. I thought I should post it here so maybe it might help someone who loved night riding just like me.
Could I ask you for something? - could you tell me what you think about "how clear is the article written"? As this is something technical I would love to know what people think about it. And spare no criticism! - I never learned anything new from a person who had the same opinion as me.
Thank you for your interest :-) If you need any instructions, help or more details - simply let me know.
I like it! think i'll have to copy your design. have you tested it for DRAG??? JK.
thanks for posting.
Hi CdnRider,
thank you for reacting to my post :-) I am not sure I understand what DRAG is - could you elaborate on that?
If you need tips just let me know. Actually I might give you one right away - you should consider sewing the Velcro to the elastic band using a sewing machine.
Are you intending on using the UniqueFire S10 CREE LED flashlight like I did? I am simply interested in knowing whether people like this type of flashlight.
