Can anyone suggest the best method of removing unwanted body hair please.... I am quite hairy and have tried waxing, but have discovered that i suffer from painfull ingrowing hairs that leave a ugly scars all over my body. I have also used a philips body groomer, but only lasted 2-3 uses..

My best suggestion, at this stage of your cycling career, is to focus on the actual cycling and forget about the hair. Once you get in to it, you will find cycling and general fitness will help you develop a positive self image, and that will change everything.
Shaving your legs is an important thing. I'll explain.
1. You'll fit in with the crowd 2. If/When you crash and you need bandages, you;ll be glad you don't have a bunch of hair when tearing off that tape. A doctor will like it too! 3. You'll look more muscular without hair
Use hair clippers to hack down the bulk of the hair. Then use a NEW sharp razor to shave down to the skin. Use shaving cream. Above all, a new razor will help your skin from redness and in-grown hairs. Good luck!
