Parts -- eBay ... Danscomp.com (at least, for the Freewheel) if you are NOT building a Fixie.

Wheels -- the rear hub depends on the frame's rear dropout spacing (120mm to 135mm) & type ... best is always to lace your own, but otherwise there are wheels available on eBay.

YES to 700c vs. 27" ... 27" wheels may not weigh that much more, but the tires/tubes seem to weigh a lot more.

The best option is always to lace your own (or, have a set laced for you), but otherwise there are wheels available on eBay. If your frame has 120mm spacing, then either SHIMANO Dura Ace or MICHE "Track" hubs are probably the best option ... FORMULA hubs are a good value.

If your frame has vertical dropouts, then you'll need an ENO hub.

Finish -- if you can afford it, then powder coating is generally considered to be superior to paint ...

I like bikeisland for parts, they have some good deals.
Also for finish, yeah powder if you have the money. But I just wanted to ride and im broke🙂 so paint!

+1 on the formula hubs, they're really popular and will do ya well.
