  1. Should your leg be level when it's in the 12:00 position? or should it be slight tilted towards the front?

    slight bend.. about 30 deg.

  3. ^^That photos depicts a 6 o'clock leg position.
    At 12 o'clock (at the top of your pedal stroke), I believe you leg should be slightly bent towards the front, or said another way - there should be a downward inclination to the knee from the hip...works for me anyway...ymmv

    The far side of the road cyclist is what you want to focus on - the near side is 6 o'clock. You'll notice from the hip to the knee joints there is a slight downward incline...
